Vestry Meeting 2024 | St. Mary the Virgin South Hill Church

Rev. Expedito Farinas, Rector of St. Mary the Virgin South Hill Church, welcomed the church parishioners to its annual meeting, also referred to as the annual vestry meeting, last Feb 25, 2024, at the Church Hall.  

The Annual reports were presented by the Rector, the Wardens, the Mothers Union, Sunday School, Altar Guild, Tea & Coffee Group and the Collection Envelope Secretary. The Treasurer presented the year-end financial statements and the proposed 2024 budget. All the  reports were accepted by the parishioners.

For  2024-2025, the parishioners elected Grefa Pinera as Rector’s Warden, Erie Maestro as People’s Warden, Marcy Borreta as Assoc. People’s Warden, Mildred Colobong  as Parish Secretary & Administrator, and Yolanda Lumase as Treasurer. The Board of Trustees for 2024-2025 are the Rector, Wardens, and Members Mildred Colobong, Julie Atkinson, and Cris Ticad. Program contacts and Committees were also nominated and elected at the annual vestry meeting.

Last January 28th, Right Reverend John Stephens, Bishop of the Diocese of New Westminster, and Deacon Jeffrey Preiss visited the church to do the Sunday service, talk to the children and the parishioners and join the congregation  for fellowship and refreshments.

The church is located at 808 East 50th street in East Vancouver. ###
