SRS 22 and 23 booklaunch scheduled for March

At 2:00 PM in Amsterdam and 9:00 PM in Manila on Saturday, March 9, 2024, SRS 22 “On Neoliberal Globalization Book” and SRS 23 “Intensifying Interimperialist Contradictions” will be published online. Rey Casambre and Sonny Africa will conduct respective reviews of SRS 22 and SRS 23.

As a component of the International Network for Philippine Studies, the Sison Reader Series (SRS) has published twenty-three (23) volumes of Jose Maria Sison’s writings since its inception. The book series comprises significant subjects and research on global and Philippine issues, authored and conducted by Sison, a renowned public intellectual.

JMS’s impact on social movements worldwide has endured beyond his passing in December 2022. The hashtag #KaJomaLives continues to be widely used on various social media platforms, demonstrating his lasting impact on the Filipino population and a worldwide audience. The Ka Joma Lives! Study Movement has emerged to honour and promote the legacy of Jose Maria Sison (1939-2022) by organising hybrid educational discussions.

Julie de Lima, Chairperson of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) Peace Negotiating Panel, participates in the discussion at the book launch alongside Africa and Casambre.

The National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) is the revolutionary organization of the Filipino people figting for national freedom and for democratic rights of the people. The NDFP seeks to develop and coordinate all progressive classes, sectors, and forces in the Filipino people’s struggle to end the rule of imperialism and its local allies of big landolords and compradors, and attain national and social liberation.

The Sison Reader Series (SRS)  will be available online in both paperback and e-book versions. The event is hosted by the NDFP International office and Ka Joma Lives! Study Movement.

Everyone is invited to share this invitation with many people, as this online event is open to the public. To join in Zoom, the public is invited to visit  bit.ly/SRS22-23.
