FFPS hosts JMS Book Launch on People’s Rights, Justice, and Peace

Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle (FFPS) Canada is organizing a book launch for Jose Maria Sison’s work on the topics of people’s rights, justice, and peace, which is part of the Sison Reader now on its 21 series, also known as SRS 21.FFPS is an international coalition dedicated to increasing solidarity between the Filipino people and anti-imperialist factions and marginalised communities around the world. Its goal is to encourage the study of the Filipino people’s revolutionary history and struggles.

The “People’s Rights, Justice, and Peace” book launch for JMS works will be held on December 20, 2023, at 6 PM at CSI Spadina Toronto Level 3. The event will also be livestreamed via Zoom Live in San Francisco on the same day, or on December 21, at 12 AM in Amsterdam, 7 PM in Manila, and 10 PM in Sydney. The general public is invited to participate via zoom and to register at http://ffps.info/dec20.

Despite his passing in December 2022, JMS has continued to have a profound and enduring impact on social movements worldwide. The hashtag #KaJomaLives continues to dominate various social media platforms, demonstrating his lasting preence in the hearts and minds of both the Filipino people and people around the world.

According to FPPS, The Sison Reader Series (SRS) 21 will soon be accessible online in paperback and e-book format.###
