Having observed the reports from the UN Human Rights Committee and the questions by UN member-states to the Philippine government, “red-tagging”, as what is happening in the Philippines, is now an internationally accepted term.

The blatant LIE that there is no such thing as “red-tagging”, and that there is only “truth-tagging”, has obviously not gained any traction nor acceptance, not in the Philippines and not with the international community. The absurd claim that “red-tagging” is protected free speech has not diminished the dangers this has posed to people.

The only thing left to do now is for the Philippine government to end this dangerous and insidious practice.
