We humbly appeal, in the spirit of the Christmas season, for the conferment of presidential clemency for MARY JANE VELOSO.
The right to grant presidential clemency is solely your power and prerogative as President. We urge you to grant this to MARY JANE VELOSO on humanitarian grounds.
Malaya Canada, an alliance of Filipino and FilCan organizations advocating for justice, peace, and genuine democracy for our country requests that you grant full, immediate, and unconditional clemency to MARY JANE VELOSO, a power within your authority that only your benevolence can bestow upon her and her family.
MARY JANE VELOSO has already completed years of incarceration, and this holiday season, the most meaningful gift you could provide to her, her children Darren and Daniel, and her elderly parents, Nanay Celia and Tatay Cesar, is the granting of Executive Clemency, an action only within your authority as President.
Malaya Canada and all its chapters in Canada will long cherish your generous act and display of affection towards your fellow citizens who have returned home yet remain unfree.
